perfectly placed for exploring detroit's vibrant attractions
My stay was fantastic, thanks to the stunning historic architecture and the warmth of the staff, with easy access to the TCF Center, just a short 200 meters away, making it an excellent spot for leisurely city strolls and discovering the local art scene at the Detroit Institute of Arts, almost 3.5 km from the hotel. as a solo traveler, I appreciated the spacious room which allowed me to unwind after a day of exploration, but I did wish for a coffee machine in the room for that extra morning comfort.

The staff offered a warm welcome and provided excellent service throughout our 2-night stay. The hotel’s gorgeous design, from the stunning tile work in the bathroom to the vintage decor, created a memorable ambiance. Enjoying the saltwater grotto was an unexpected treat, and the mini-bar conveniently stocked with bottled water was a nice touch. However, parking was somewhat limited during busy hours, and the pathways could benefit from improved lighting for nighttime returning guests.

The room's ambiance captivates, especially the luxurious decor in the Deluxe Queen Room. Unique historical details throughout the establishment, like the intricate woodwork and vintage furnishings, create an atmosphere that feels exclusive and steeped in character.
The breakfast selection felt a bit underwhelming, which might not satisfy those looking for extensive options in the morning. Additionally, having to rely on valet for parking can be a hassle, particularly for those wanting direct access to their vehicles without the wait.

The historic building and club facilities were stunning, akin to walking through a museum. I adored the lavish Premium Suite with its incredibly comfortable bed and a deep soaking claw foot tub. The front desk staff truly went above and beyond, especially when they arranged a delicious meal for me after I had injured my foot.
Noisy city sounds could be heard from the room.
